Establishing the Future You!

How do you want to see yourself a few months from now?
Today it's "you", a few months from now is the "future you"
Many times we look back and say "if only I knew" or "I wish I could turn back the hands of time". What if I told you that you can minimize the number of times you say this?
Let's establish the future you!

You will need your Bible, Pen, Journal, allotted time and dedication.
Self-assessment time
In your Journal, answer these questions:
-What are the things you tend to overreact about when the whole world is thinking "it's not a big issue, breathe"?
-What are your "toxic" traits? People tend to always point them out but in your mind nothing is wrong (could you be right when all 30 persons in your circle are saying you are wrong?) The problem might be you.
-What are your struggles? Especially with human interactions
-What are the things you know you should be doing that you are neglecting now? Especially those things required to be a better you!
-What goals you need to accomplish? - Physical goals to improve your life (don't put a timeline for accomplishments, God doesn't need 5 years to set you up with that dream house or car)
-What are the thoughts and things that are preventing you from achieving these goals?
-Would you consider yourself to be a negative person?
Are you optimistic about situations?
Are you the type to say "realistically that cannot happen for me in such a short time or I'm not in a position for that"?
Alignment for the Establishment
Your assessment will be your guiding tool.
Many times we are the ones standing in our own way, we are hurting, possess toxic traits, a pessimist in thoughts and actions, even when we say we serve an all-powerful God, unsure of the directions we need to go or we are just demotivated or lazy.
Whatever your assessment is reflecting, it's up to YOU to make "a" change. Take your assessment and analyze it, your assessment is your friend and you are the friend giving advice. Begin to strip the layers. Talk to your friend:
"you are hurting because..............."
"You really do think negatively"
"You really need to have more faith by even starting to.........."
It is ok to admit that you are not perfect or to know that others might think it's best to not include you in their spaces. But you should not accept that "Oh I don't care, this is who I am".
These things can very much hurt the future you.
Erecting the Establishment
It's important to know how to manage yourself, for me, I have to talk about issues with myself, do daily introspection about my attitude and behaviors I displayed during the course of the day, erect scriptures and reminders to help to keep my mind positive. Get yourself managed!
What can you do to not overreact to simple things? To overcome your struggles? To purify your toxic traits? Get to managing!
Find what you are naturally inclined to do and apply them to your personal development. There is something unique to you that you oftentimes even push aside as being weird, but use it to your advantage (I try to find solutions to situations, so I don't give up too easily, I like to challenge myself to be aware of my actions) that's me, what makes you unique?
Cementing the Establishment
Begin to cement your erected establishment with scriptures that will propel you towards a better "future you".
Take me for example, I adopted the scripture:
Romans 8:28
"All things work together for good to them that loves the Lord and are called to His purpose".
I had a tendency to overreact and break down whenever anything unpleasant or is not going how I planned it. But then I got my revelation, God is my creator, He is my guide, He knows all and He has set my purpose into motion; so as long as I am living according to His will and I am persuaded to fulfill my purpose then whatever He "allows" to find me, it's to train me, build me and teach me and not to kill me. Best believe that there are days when the pressure gets intense and I want to scream and throw in the towel, but I think about the future me and understand that if I set a good foundation now then the future me will benefit and I will not say "if only I knew".
Beautifying your Establishment
Did you know that you are worth it? Yes, you are!!! Where you are now, how you process things now, is not your permanent state! You will grow and develop in the way you function. Your desires will increase and decrease, you will be able to tap into your goals earlier than your natural eyes and knowledge could have conceptualized if you don't limit God.
The future you can be bright if you put the work in now with determination, Prayer, and the Word of God. Don't ever say "well this is who I am" you could very much be a toxic repellent to everyone and have a displeasing title attached to your name. "Shhh you can't talk to her about that, she is too negative and will crush you" "She a difficult person to deal with, just stay far".
